By using the Broomstix website, you consent to the Broomstix privacy and data processing policies.

How we use your data

We store the information which you provide, either on the website or by other means, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, preferences, financial and credit card information We reserve the right to collect and store certain information automatically when you visit the site. Such details might include your IP (internet protocol) address, browser, OS (operating system), log-in details, URL clickstreams and cookie numbers. We may track your activity on our site, including the pages visited, the searches carried out and if relevant, the services purchased.

Purpose of Automatic Data Collection

We will use any information collected about you automatically when you visit the site. The reasons for such automatic information collection is as follows:

• In order to make suggestions about products or services that may be of interest to you.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to retain personal data from closed accounts, in order to comply with all our legal obligations, protect our contractual position, prevent fraud and abuse, enable dispute resolution, and undertake such other activities as are permitted by law.

The security of personal data is of the utmost priority for Broomstix and its website administrators. We endeavour to protect personal data from loss or misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Information provided to Broomstix is stored on secure servers. Payment transactions are securely encrypted.


Your password enables you to access your account. You are responsible for keeping this password confidential. Do not to share your password with anyone. If you believe your password security has been compromised, you should change your password immediately

Encryption and Limits of Liability

Electronic communications are not secure if they have not been encrypted. Whilst we will do our best to ensure the security of the personal data we hold, we cannot guarantee the security of unencrypted data transmitted to the site, and any transmission is at your own risk. We do not accept responsibility for any unauthorised access to, or loss of, personal data, nor can we be held responsible for the actions or omissions of other users or third parties who may misuse personal data which they collect from the site.

Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

We may share your information with any member of our group (which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries from time to time, in each case as defined in section 1159 of the Companies Act 2006). Personal data may be supplied to relevant third parties, including credit reference and fraud prevention agencies, who may keep a record of that information. Payment and bank details are supplied direct to our banking provider Stripe. We do not receive such payment information and we do not store credit card or bank account credentials.

Disclosure of Personal Data to Other Broomstix Users

If you are a Client and you have booked a Service Provider, we will provide your contact details to the relevant Service Provider. If you post a rating review about a Service Provider, your username (first name) will be shown on the website. If you are a Service Provider, your first name and your profile photograph will be shown in your on-line profile. Your on-line profile will be searchable and available by users of the site. If you are successful and are selected by a Client, we will pass your full name and contact details to any Client who has booked and paid a deposit for your services. We will disclose your details to other Broomstix users if we have reason to believe that you have breached our terms and conditions or if we are required to do so by law or any other appropriate authority. 

Where Personal Data is Stored

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy and we will of course comply with the applicable laws relating to the transfer of personal data outside the EEA.
